The Štrbské pleso nature trail is a unique experience for everyone who wants not only to admire the beauty of the High Tatras, but also to get to know the rich history, natural wealth and cultural heritage of this area. This 6-kilometre trail, which consists of 40 thematic stops, provides a comprehensive view of various aspects of Štrbské Pleso, from its geological development to the stories of famous personalities who have worked here.
The route starts at the Tatra Electric Railways station and continues towards the ski resort under the bridges near the FIS Hotel. From there it goes around Štrbské Pleso, passes through the hotel complex on the south bank of the lake on Kúpeľná Street, then goes around Nové Štrbské Pleso and ends at the Lakes of Love.

It takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to walk the entire trail, making it ideal for a morning or afternoon stroll. The trail is easy, with minimal elevation changes, making it comfortable for families with children or the elderly. History of Štrbské Pleso - The first stops are dedicated to the origin and history of Štrbské Pleso. You will learn about how the lake was formed after the glacier retreat and what importance it had for the local inhabitants in the past.
